Series: Broken Lives #2

766520Nothing good could come from falling for Dante. He was the forbidden fruit I should never have tasted, the apple of his gangbanging father’s eye. If the law didn’t get to me first, I would suffer worse by his father’s hand.

So, I tried to push Dante away, tried so hard not to give in to the beautiful temptation sitting in the back row of my classroom. Because I knew if I gave in to him, he could ruin my life, shattering everything that I held dear: my marriage, my career, my freedom.

But I couldn’t resist him.

And now I was going to suffer the consequences.

766520For me, the name Dante conjured up two images. The first was the epic depictions of Hell from Dante’s Inferno, with people burning for their sins. The second image was a sexual depiction. I don’t know where it came from, but as far back as I can remember, I had always associated the name Dante with a beautiful and sexy man. I’d imagined a dark-haired, dark-eyed, gorgeous lothario, the type who could capture a woman’s heart with just one look. Dante was the Fabio of my generation, the heartthrob that got women’s hearts beating fast, made us want this man to rip our clothes off and to throw us onto the bed.

Little did I know that the Dante that walked into my life was very different from the one I’d imagined. Oh, he was dark-haired, dark-eyed, gorgeous, even a lothario … just … he wasn’t a man. Instead, he was someone who was going to send me to the Hell his namesake had written about.

And I was his teacher.

Review: Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 – Extended epilogue by Whitney G.

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 - Extended epilogue
Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 – Extended epilogue by Whitney G.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

“I want you to be well aware that ring or not, I’m still the same Andrew.”
“Or Liam…”
“No, Andrew.” He kissed me again, more passionately this time. “Liam fell in love with the wrong woman…

Andrew didn’t…”

This was like icing on the top with a cherry.

I loved this extended epilogue, specially that it was 6 years later …

“Is it true that we’re required to take turns bringing you coffee every day?”
I looked at the coffee mug on my desk, at the sign-in sheet that listed which student had brought it today.
“It’s not a requirement,” I said, picking up the cup. “But if you miss your day to bring me my coffee, I’ll make sure everyone in this class regrets it.”

Especially that Andrew was a fucking teacher,

You can imagine Andrew as a teacher, it would be hell, Hell for the poor students.

But i will also kill to have a teacher like Andrew, yummmmmmm!!

Andrew & Aubrey’s story was one of the best love stories i’ve read and loved.

“I wanted to propose to you several years ago, but I didn’t want to hold you back or distract you from focusing on your career, so I bought the ring and decided I would wait until you accomplished everything you wanted, until we could actually enjoy some time together.”

A woman stood up and put her hand over her heart, mouthing, “Awww…”

“And even though you get under my skin like no other, and you continue to push me out of my comfort zone…There’s no one I’d rather be with, and there’s nothing I would rather do than fuck your pussy for the rest of my life.”

Review: Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3
Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 by Whitney G.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Everything we had was built on lies…

I was really shocked to see that the last book was 200+ long. But believe me i was happy that it was long. So we can get more of Andrew & Aubrey for the last time. This series just ended really fast. I maybe completed this series in one sitting that means 2 or maybe in two & half hours. I would’ve loved if this series was dragged. Honestly.

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 was far the best book in this series and more angsty. We got to know about the past of Andrew, not just the spinets we got in past books, but a full on ride from the past. Seriously, reading about Andrew’s past was really really painful. The guy lost everything he ever loved. but i was also happy that till the end we got the same Andrew we have known fro the very start. Infact we got a little bit of old caring Andrew too.

“I fucking love you, Aubrey… And I’ll do whatever it takes to show you that.”

Like i said before in my review of Reasonable Doubt: Volume 2 that Andrew has to do alot of growling if he want Aubrey back. And i was damn on the money. Man did Andrew make the growling part the best. ❤ He seriously is the cockiest character I’ve ever read, and one of the best too. I bloody love this guy so much & the fact he is lawyer is also not helping. I have a thing for Lawyers. Specially their mouths. Yeah yeah I’m pathetic. I KNOW THAT. Specially i loved those past email conversation of Thoreu & Alysaa, there was nothing more good than their old friendship.

You and I will still be friends a few months from now, and you’ll be completely okay with not seeing my face.

You and I will be fucking a few months from now, and the only reason I’ll be okay with not seeing your face is because you’ll be riding my cock as I bend your ass over a table.

I loved that Andrew did work on his & Aubrey’s relationship. Because it lacked the strength from the start , sure their was sparking chemistry between them but we also want some high end relationship too. I liked the part of their date. and all the things. That subway, and how Andrew was so caring about Aubrey. So, at the end we got everything we ever wanted in this series. So, this was the last goodbye to my dear Andrew. Oh boy! I will miss the hell of you and your cockiness.

“I liked you as “Thoreau, but I loved you as Andrew.

Review: By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Paulo Coelho.

By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept
By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept by Paulo Coelho

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I opened this book with NO expectation’s. Many people take Paulo Coelho’s books with this expectations that it will be as good as The Alchemist is. But no book will ever be good as Alchemist is. So, for me this book was quite unexpected but in a good way. I have read many books of Paulo but this book was quite exception of Paulo’s writing. It was desperate, Spiritual and so knowledgeable. I quite learned about Christianity, Spirituality. Love and Decisions.

“If pain must come, may it come quickly. Because I have a life to live, and I need to live it in the best way possible. If he has to make a choice, may he make it now. Then I will either wait for him or forget him.”

And so the novel starts out. The most beautiful opening paragraph I’ve ever read in my life. And unless you are heartless or have never been in love, I don’t know how this wouldn’t at least rank somewhere on your list of most beautiful passages.

“By the River Piedra I sat down and wept. There is a legend that everything falls into the waters of this river – leaves, insects, the feathers of bird – is transformed into the rocks that make the riverbed. If only I could tear out my heart and hurl it into the current, then my pain and longing would be over, and I could finally forget.”

tumblr_lwdcy6cns71r46fnpo1_500 This book was told by the protagonist Pilar’s POV, she took us from the streets of Zargoza to the mountains of France to the river of Piedra. For not believing in Love to falling in love. This book showed us different phases of a human’s life to her journey to the life of spirituality. This book’s main focus was on the female face of GOD. That women’s have been degraded from the early era to now, that Male God’s have been more in light then women’s. This book really thought so many tales and knowledge about Virgin Mary. Which for me was quite interesting. As a Muslim, after Islam the most interesting is Christianity. and this book provide alot of it.

“In real life, love has to be possible. Even if it is not returned right away, love can only survive when the hope exists that you will be able to win over the person you desire.”

By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept i carries a spiritual theme, as he touches quite a bit on the mystical nature of God. In this particular piece, he focuses on the young man’s belief in a feminine God that grants him the power to heal. and then their is Pilar, Pilar struggles to accept and embrace her feelings for him. He struggles to reconcile his love for the seminary, the gifts he has been given and the love he has held onto for so many years. While the beauty of their love story as it unfolds kept me wanting more, I found myself disappointed, especially toward the end when I didn’t feel the same intensity of emotions as I did with the opening paragraphs.

“But love is much like a dam; if you allow a tiny crack to form through which only a trickle of water can pass, that trickle will quickly bring down the whole structure and soon no one will be able to control the force of the current.”

Nonetheless, I enjoyed this book. I have two more books by Coelho that I want to read. And if you know me, you’ll know that there are VERY few authors from whom I’ve read more than one book. I must really like this guy. Recommended to all the fellow readers.

“That is why I write – to try to turn sadness into longing, solitude into remembrance.”

Review: Turbulence by Whitney G.

Turbulence by Whitney G.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

                    “This is hardly love.”
“Then it’s hardly lust.”
“Then we’ll just call it us.”

I was really excited to read Turbulence after reading Whitney G.‘s Sincerely, Carter and i loved that book. But these two books are nothing like each other but that’s not reason why i didn’t LOVED this book. For me if you plus Ugly Love and Fifty Shades Of Grey, you’ll get “Turbulence” and believe me that’s also not the reason why i didn’t loved this, because Ugly Love & Fifty Shades of Grey are one of my fav books.

I didn’t loved this book because of all the kinky fuckery out of no-where it didn’t made me Feel. I was un-able to feel anything for the characters. I just wanted to complete this book out of curiousity that what the hell was the exact problem with Jake and his hatred of Elite Airways even though he was working on it and getting paid double not triple even more than any of the employee.

Jake & Gillian worked on the same Airlines, Gillian for the past two years and Jake for the past 20 years or MORE. But mind not they never even met.

Guess what where they meet on a party where sparks fly’d and they decided to have a one night stand. but when Gillian made a decision to go with this starnger to place she always crashed after cleaning the condo. But she didn’t know that the place was Jake’s. Funny isn’t it?? What a coincidence.

“You’re a goddamn thief and a liar, Gillian…” he whispered against my mouth as he slid his hand between my thighs and tore off my soaked panties.
“A goddamn thief and a liar.”

After their one very-sex-as-hell nightstand over. They both were unable to think about anything else then fucking like rabbits. But there was not a chance because “Jake don’t repeat”. I will accept that Jake got me really intrigued with himself with his Cold brooding Personality. because i have thing for MC’s who are dark and cold blooded and have a past to pity.

Jake got all of them but sadly it only made me entertaing just for the 40% of the book, after that i was like
“comeon!! i’m getting bore, if i wanted to read about sex i would’ve picke anyone AR’s book, show me a plot”
but my plea’s got to deaf ears. There was just Fucking for jake and Emotion and hopes for Gillian. And this game became pretty much boring after that. Although Gillian was boring from starting Jake’s character was the rope from which i was clinging to this book and afraid to let it go.

“I need to fuck you again. Preferably the second we land in London, but I’m not opposed to doing it after you get finished serving either.”

Jake & Gillian’s story start with a mere one night stand and then turned to a second meeting sex and after that faith brought them together in a flight. From the very first flight they take together it was decided that they will have no-string-attached-sex with each other and on one else. After that as we all know what happens in every book.

Sex became more and more awesome.

They can’t wait to fuck eachother’s brain out,

And then the girl start feeling more and,

The guy will start pushing in attempt to shield his heart,

and finally when girl get his brain out of gutter, she left him,

But the guy finally realized what he did, and start chasing her back.

After that they had a make-out session and suddenly the shoe dropped and boy again start pushing,

but after 2 or 3 months apart they both come to their senses and lives happily.

Ohh we left the main part where none of them made any mistake but something entirely out os plot happened and the guy start hating the girl and feel betrayed and the rest is histroy.

“Until this ends, my cock is the only cock you’re allowed to have, your mouth belongs to me, and if you’re ever wet and in need of pleasure, you’ll wait until I’m available to give it to you.”

If i wasn’t expecting anything more good form this book and i am sure as hell liked it more than i even did. Turbulence was not a book i loved but i sincerely liked it because it was really giving me shock after shock in the plot not a good type of a shock but the bad one. But it really made my mood sour that no matter how much i wanted to enjoy it, Ugly Love was all i getting because something happens and i start thinking yeah That was also in “Ugly Love” but the both book are really same but at the same time not the same”.

Many people liked this loved this book but it simply was not for me. But yet i will recommend it because i think the problem was just me, not this book. I am sure many people will like this for what it is and not comparing it with anything else. but hence i was unable to do that. and this book came in my “Liking” category when i am sure as hell picked it up as an 5 Star read but Bummer!!

“You can ride my cock until you’re not mad anymore, and I can tongue your pussy until you can’t think anymore.”

Review: Bossman by Vi Keeland

Bossman by Vi Keeland

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was the best risk I’ve taken on “all-the-hype-bestsellers books” so far in 2016.

From starting of this month Bossman has ruled my news-feed with its 5star drool-worthy reviews. And yet I was wary with picking this book because HONESTLY I didn’t liked its cover. SORRY Ladies . But as i said alot of reviews with 5stars rating sold me this book.
and OH MY .. the main reason I read this book was because of it’s synopsis and what a synopsis it was. Gosh!! So, lets stop with my constant babbling and let me tell you about this Drool-worthy-awesome-and-funniest-book-i’ve-read-in-2016 !! 😛

What are going here, Chase?
“Making your dreams come true, apparently.”

It all starts with a restroom banter to Chase Parker crashing our heroine’s Resse date which was so far a disaster.

”Reese. Is that you?”

What the hell? “Umm…yes.”

“Wow. It’s been a long time.” He patted his chest. “It’s me, Chase.”

Chase is the true definition of our sexy as sin hot CEO with a heart-breaking past. But not like those boring CEO book where the CEO has a cold heart and walls as high as his height 6.2. No its NOT that scene here. Chase Parker is a heart-warming and Funny CEO I’ve ever read. He talks to everyone of his employee like a friend and yet he ooze sexuality, confidence and authority with his warm brown eyes and a captivating dimple.

Resse Annesley was a stubborn and stubborn lady with a past to work on and a reputation to carry. which our boosman is trying hard to rule. Resse ooze confidence and attitude well blame on the red hair huh 😀 As a female lead Resse was quite an character to read about. What I liked about her was she was not our usual type of Horny Sex kitten we read in hot CEO type books. I loved how she didn’t give up on her anti-having sex with the boss’s boss. I liked how she was trying her hard to have a place on her own in his company.

“I launched myself at him, throwing my arms around his neck. “I quit.”
He wrapped his arm around my waist, and with one quick hitch, he lifted me up. “It’s about damn time.”

Another thing which make this book a exception is this book DO NOT have insta-sex or insta-love which are my pet peeves how can we like something which is happening so fast that it seems fake. So, this book was a plus for me. I loved how Chase was working so hard for Resse to have sex with him.

I loved their crazy banter and Chase’s made-up-stories God, that guy is a walking contradiction. The attraction, the sparks were the highlights of this book. For me the plot of this book was predictable but yet exciting and sometimes insanely funny. This book made me laugh out loud so many times. I loved how we get Dual POV’S because it made this story so much more exciting especially when chase was being an arsehole.

“Chase, tell me why you are not the man for me?
“Goodnight, Buttercup.”

To be honest I LOVED the heartbreakingly past more than their insanely funny moments just because of Chase. This guy made me intrigued so much that i wanted to know each and everything about him. and to see a dejected and vulnerable Chase was plus for me. I enjoyed how he was fighting with his past to be live in present with resse. Everything of this book was JUST awsome!!

“I want more with you. I can’t promise you what that is or where it will go, but it’s more than just physical. I’m attracted to everything about you – you’re smart, honest, funny, brave, a little nutty – and you make me smile for no reason. There’s no denying I want you in my bed. I think you’ve caught on to that part by now. But I want this, too. I’m tired of looking back. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to live in the moment.”

ALL IN ALL. This was an Insanely good read for me. I loved this book. I devoured it. I couldn’t put it down. It was a perfect mix of everything you could ever wish for in a sexy, addictive romance! It’ll make you blush, and even break your heart at times, but then made you swoon and laugh out loud again. I highly recommend it 🙂

“But you think you’re ready to move on now?”
“I think it took me this long to realize what moving on meant. It doesn’t mean forgetting what you’ve left behind. It means making her a memory and deciding to have a future without her in it.”

Review: Midnight Sun- Edward’s POV

Midnight Sun
Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“And, by the way, I adore you…. in frightening, dangerous ways.”

OH MY SWEET LORD, reading Midnight Sun was Nostalgic !!
I almost forgot how much I Loved this series! and it is even MORE better with Edward’s POV!!

“So, Bella, I was following your scent through the woods after I’d left your room where I was watching you sleep…Yes that would be quite the ice breaker.”

And I ABSOLUTELY loved the witty and sarcastic Edward and his inner conflicts always made me giggle, Poor Vampire he is!! and I loved to know about Cullen’s more privately with Edwards POV, I loved every one of them, expect Rose !! obviously, i just got over her attitude in Breaking Dawn. She annoys the hell out of me. Stupid, stupid vampire!! Poor Emmett, my heart goes for him!! But overall i loved every family moment of this book, the bond, the understanding .. Everything! How can a vampire family be so sweet and loving?? And ESPECIALLY Charlisle, he is an angle from heaven!!

“Could a dead, frozen heart beat again? It felt like mine was about to.”

Edward and Bella, Oh how much i love this couple! Its would be anyone’s guess.
Their Understanding, was whoa !! Even i loved the fact that Edward can’t listen her mind!
Its fascinating even for me 😛 Seeing Edward trying so hard to read her mind was a thrill to read!! and the way he answered her question in his mind was AWSOME. I didn’t know Edward has this character in him!! What a thrill to know more of him..

“Believe me, I wanted to say. I’ve tried.
Oh, and also, I’m wretchedly in love with you.
Keep it light.”

But, but, but, this book didn’t covered what i wanted to read!! Especially “the Meadow scene” 😦
WHY OH WHY, this draft got leaked!! It would’ve been a Masterpiece!! Seriously, i hope one day i can read all the book from Edwards POV!! So many things were missing, so many Feelings to know!! But overall what i read was enough for me to love this book!! NO MATTER HOW I WANTED IT TO BE COMPLETED!! Well, the world is not a wish granting factory, i guess!!

“I didn’t want the life that made sense. Not if the chaos meant i could have Bella.”
