Review: Bossman by Vi Keeland

Bossman
Bossman by Vi Keeland

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

HOLY SHIT …

This was the best risk I’ve taken on “all-the-hype-bestsellers books” so far in 2016.

From starting of this month Bossman has ruled my news-feed with its 5star drool-worthy reviews. And yet I was wary with picking this book because HONESTLY I didn’t liked its cover. SORRY Ladies . But as i said alot of reviews with 5stars rating sold me this book.
and OH MY .. the main reason I read this book was because of it’s synopsis and what a synopsis it was. Gosh!! So, lets stop with my constant babbling and let me tell you about this Drool-worthy-awesome-and-funniest-book-i’ve-read-in-2016 !! 😛

What are going here, Chase?
“Making your dreams come true, apparently.”

It all starts with a restroom banter to Chase Parker crashing our heroine’s Resse date which was so far a disaster.

”Reese. Is that you?”

What the hell? “Umm…yes.”

“Wow. It’s been a long time.” He patted his chest. “It’s me, Chase.”

Chase is the true definition of our sexy as sin hot CEO with a heart-breaking past. But not like those boring CEO book where the CEO has a cold heart and walls as high as his height 6.2. No its NOT that scene here. Chase Parker is a heart-warming and Funny CEO I’ve ever read. He talks to everyone of his employee like a friend and yet he ooze sexuality, confidence and authority with his warm brown eyes and a captivating dimple.

Resse Annesley was a stubborn and stubborn lady with a past to work on and a reputation to carry. which our boosman is trying hard to rule. Resse ooze confidence and attitude well blame on the red hair huh 😀 As a female lead Resse was quite an character to read about. What I liked about her was she was not our usual type of Horny Sex kitten we read in hot CEO type books. I loved how she didn’t give up on her anti-having sex with the boss’s boss. I liked how she was trying her hard to have a place on her own in his company.

“I launched myself at him, throwing my arms around his neck. “I quit.”
He wrapped his arm around my waist, and with one quick hitch, he lifted me up. “It’s about damn time.”

Another thing which make this book a exception is this book DO NOT have insta-sex or insta-love which are my pet peeves how can we like something which is happening so fast that it seems fake. So, this book was a plus for me. I loved how Chase was working so hard for Resse to have sex with him.

I loved their crazy banter and Chase’s made-up-stories God, that guy is a walking contradiction. The attraction, the sparks were the highlights of this book. For me the plot of this book was predictable but yet exciting and sometimes insanely funny. This book made me laugh out loud so many times. I loved how we get Dual POV’S because it made this story so much more exciting especially when chase was being an arsehole.

“Chase, tell me why you are not the man for me?
“Goodnight, Buttercup.”

To be honest I LOVED the heartbreakingly past more than their insanely funny moments just because of Chase. This guy made me intrigued so much that i wanted to know each and everything about him. and to see a dejected and vulnerable Chase was plus for me. I enjoyed how he was fighting with his past to be live in present with resse. Everything of this book was JUST awsome!!

“I want more with you. I can’t promise you what that is or where it will go, but it’s more than just physical. I’m attracted to everything about you – you’re smart, honest, funny, brave, a little nutty – and you make me smile for no reason. There’s no denying I want you in my bed. I think you’ve caught on to that part by now. But I want this, too. I’m tired of looking back. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to live in the moment.”

ALL IN ALL. This was an Insanely good read for me. I loved this book. I devoured it. I couldn’t put it down. It was a perfect mix of everything you could ever wish for in a sexy, addictive romance! It’ll make you blush, and even break your heart at times, but then made you swoon and laugh out loud again. I highly recommend it 🙂

“But you think you’re ready to move on now?”
“I think it took me this long to realize what moving on meant. It doesn’t mean forgetting what you’ve left behind. It means making her a memory and deciding to have a future without her in it.”
“Wow.”
